Notebook Check Coming Soon!Here are some pictures to help you make sure that you are ready for your notebook check.
SS5H4 Explain America’s involvement in World War II.
a. Describe German aggression in Europe and Japanese aggression in Asia. b. Describe major events in the war in both Europe and the Pacific; include Pearl Harbor, Iwo Jima, D-Day, VE and VJ Days, and the Holocaust. c. Discuss President Truman’s decision to drop the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. d. Identify Roosevelt, Stalin, Churchill, Hirohito, Truman, Mussolini, and Hitler. e. Describe the effects of rationing and the changing role of women and African Americans or Blacks; include “Rosie the Riveter” and the Tuskegee Airmen. f. Explain the role of Eleanor Roosevelt and the U.S. in the formation of the United Nations. This is a list of times that I suggest that you be finished by. It is important that you pace yourself, so that you are not doing everything the week before your project is due. You will be graded once everything is turned in.
January 25th - You should have (4) Issues finished February 1st - You should have (2) Biographies finished February 8th - You should have (2) Contributions finished February 15th - You should have (2) Images finished February 18th-21st - This week is for adding final touches, editing, and catching up. February 22nd - Final Magazine is finished We will spend this day peer editing. You will have the weekend to make changes. Your final project is due Monday, February 25th. Note: Please keep in mind that if you are working with a partner you must each submit this number of artifacts. So 8 Issues, 4 Biographies, 4 Contributions, and 4 Images.
